{"id":189,"date":"2014-05-20T10:26:05","date_gmt":"2014-05-19T22:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/?p=189"},"modified":"2019-02-16T10:31:50","modified_gmt":"2019-02-15T21:31:50","slug":"dd-audio-evo-x-demo-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/dd-audio-evo-x-demo-car\/","title":{"rendered":"DD Audio EVO X Demo Car!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Not everyone is lucky enough to have owned an <strong>Mitsubishi EVO<\/strong> let alone two of them, <strong>Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell<\/strong> has however been this lucky and he even owned them both at the same time for a while there too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though the <strong>Mitsubishi EVO IX<\/strong> was <strong>Ashley\u2019s<\/strong> favourite car to drive, he said the <strong>Mitsubishi EVO X<\/strong> was favourite for <strong>Sound Quality<\/strong> out of the <strong>EVO\u2019s<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/01.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"472\" height=\"213\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/01.jpg 472w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/01-300x135.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2007 the <strong>Mitsubishi EVO X<\/strong> became&nbsp;available to the public and <strong>Ashley<\/strong> was lucky enough to get his grubby little hands on the first one available to the <strong>NZ<\/strong> public making it the second <strong>EVO X<\/strong> on <strong>NZ<\/strong> roads&nbsp;as the first one had been scoped up by the head of <strong>Mitsubishi NZ<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The model <strong>Ashley<\/strong> got was the&nbsp;<strong>GSR<\/strong> 5 speed manual and had a power rating of&nbsp;295 PS (217 kW; 291 hp) at 6500 rpm and 366 N\u00b7m (270 lb\u00b7ft) at 3500 rpm. Even though this model was down on power compared <strong>Ashley\u2019s FQ-340<\/strong> by almost 50hp the <strong>EVO X<\/strong> is not a slow car by far!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/02.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"429\" height=\"169\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/02.jpg 429w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/02-300x118.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 429px) 100vw, 429px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This time round the<strong> EVO X<\/strong> was filled to the brim with <strong>DD Audio<\/strong> audio equipment, including 1 <strong>DD-3512-D2<\/strong> Sub-Woofer, 1 set of <strong>DD-AW6.5<\/strong> Components, 1 set of <strong>DD-C6.5<\/strong> Components, 2 <strong>DD-A1<\/strong> 2-Channel Amplifiers and 2 <strong>DD-M1a<\/strong> Mono-Block Amplifers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/30.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/30.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/30.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/30-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I personally never got to hear this set-up myself but used to see the car around a lot and used to think <strong>\u201cWhat would that sound like inside the car?\u201d<\/strong> . Lucky for me I\u2019ve had a lot of time to harass <strong>Ashley<\/strong> and ask a million and one questions about this car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From what I have been told time and again these are the best sounding car audio components <strong>Ashley<\/strong> has own in a long time! The <strong>DD-3512-D2<\/strong> speaks for itself in my opinion, if you have ever had the chance to owned or hear the <strong>DD-3500 Series Subs<\/strong> you will understand how clear and beautifully sounding they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/35.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"430\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/35.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/35.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/35-300x215.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ashley<\/strong> was saying it was a sad day when he decided to sell the <strong>Evo X<\/strong> and move onto a <strong>BMW<\/strong>, which is totally&nbsp;understandable even though <strong>BMW\u2019s<\/strong> are amazing cars in there own right but comparing a <strong>BMW<\/strong> to an <strong>EVO<\/strong> is like apples and oranges, both very tasty in there own ways yet so different!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/58.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"325\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/58.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/58.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/58-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I personally loved the way this <strong>EVO X<\/strong> looked so got a friend to see if he could paint up an <strong>EVO X<\/strong> in Forza Motorsport 4 and I think he did an amazing job of it too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/71.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/71.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/71.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/71-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully I can save enough money so I can do a similar <strong>DD-EVO-X<\/strong> build one day but this time round it would have <strong>DD-AW6.5 Components<\/strong> all round\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not everyone is lucky enough to have owned an Mitsubishi EVO let alone two of them, Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell has however been this lucky and he even owned them both at the same time for a while there too!
