Being one who likes a&nbsp;challenge&nbsp;I got right onto it, first ringing our box builder&nbsp;and seeing if he could work with the dimensions provided already knowing he&nbsp;would have a drawing right quick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8125.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8125.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8125.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8125-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8125-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the box profile could only be so tall the <strong>Sub-Woofer<\/strong> choice was quite slim, so after a few conversations the choice was a <strong>DD-512-D4<\/strong>. The <strong>DD-512-D4<\/strong> is <strong>DD Audio<\/strong> entry level 12\u2033 <strong>Sub-Woofer<\/strong> and is a very underrated sub at that as I have run 2 <strong>DD-512-D4\u2019s<\/strong> off a M4 in <strong>ABTEC1<\/strong> for over a month without any issues!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8129.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8129.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8129.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8129-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8129-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once we had a dimensional drawing to confirm our thoughts on this box it was time for our box builder&nbsp;to start his thing and cut, drill and screw to his hearts content! It still cease\u2019s to amaze me how quickly we&nbsp;are making these boxes now too, it was about four hours from the text saying he had started the box to the post up on Facebook saying it was finished!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8130.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8130.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8130.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8130-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8130-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that the box was finished it was time for <strong>Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell<\/strong> to do his thing and get his carpet on! Since the <strong>Nissan Stagea\u2019s<\/strong> interior is grey it made perfect sense to go with a grey carpet to give the box a almost factory look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the carpeting was all done <strong>Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell<\/strong> installed <strong>ABTEC\u2019s<\/strong>&nbsp;signature plug system that we run on all our set-up\u2019s including the <strong>152.8dB<\/strong> <strong>Toyota Vitz<\/strong> (<strong>ABTEC3<\/strong>). This system is run on all our set-up\u2019s to make removing a <strong>Sub-Woofer box<\/strong> quick and easy, we also use the same system for extra battery set-up\u2019s since having four\/five batteries in a car on a daily basis is not needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8128.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8128.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8128.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8128-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8128-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The last thing now was to add the <strong>6\u2033 Aero-Port<\/strong>, <strong>DD-512-D4\u2019s<\/strong> and grills and because the <strong>Nissan Stagea<\/strong> has had a full <strong>R34 GTR conversion<\/strong> and full <strong>DD Audio<\/strong> install the&nbsp;decision&nbsp;was made to glue the port into the box to give it a clean look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since this was our first shallow box made I have asked the new owner if I can run in their <strong>Sub-Woofer\u2019s<\/strong> so I can get a feel of how it will sound, that way when they get the <strong>Sub-Woofer box<\/strong> they can give it full throttle if wanted too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8133.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8133.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8133.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8133-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_8133-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On a final note I will be doing a full Blog\/Review on the <strong>Nissan Stagea<\/strong> once it has had the new head-mods\/work done on the <strong>RB26Dett<\/strong> and I can\u2019t wait to hear how all its new <strong>DD Audio<\/strong> gear sounds in it<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a request for a Sub-Woofer box to be made for a Nissan Stagea, this seemed like a very easy request at the time until I had the measurements text messaged to me.
