One hundred and fifty pounds of sheer audio heft combined with the delicacy and imaging of tubes. It's hard to imagine, but Pathos has done it.

This giant power amplifier represents the apex of InPol technology. InPol (Inseguitore Pompa Lineare - Linear Pump Follower) is a Pathos patented system that allows for much greater output in pure Class A. This fully balanced circuit design uses a single solid-state component in follower configuration, with a high-current gain and voltage gain together.

In the Adrenaline it results in a sensitive and refined amp with astonishing output capability. A unitary gain power buffer is controlled by a tube amplification stage using three double triodes, two ECC83/12AX7 and one 6H30. The first stage generates voltage amplification, and the second is a buffer with a common anode with the 6H30 that drives two groups of power MOSFETs. The result is a very powerful, extremely linear amplifier without global feedback.

Pathos, as usual, did not skimp on any components and has used an optimum inductive/capacitive switching power supply able to perfectly filter the electrical current of the two power stages. This reactance filter weighs over 26 pounds!
