Arrival: Turntable MTT 990 has arrived.

Opening: Carefully open the packaging.

Unpacking: Remove the operating instructions and the cover from the packaging.

Unpacking: Remove everything else from the packaging.

Unpacking: Remove adhesive tapes from Styrofoam parts. Remove the platter first, then remove the turntable.

Setting up the turntable

Mounting the platter: Carefully place the platter onto the motor axis (do not tilt)

Removing transportation locks: Remove the transportation locks from the tonearm

Mounting the counterweight: Screw the counterweight onto the tonearm

Mounting the pick-up system: Screw the cartridge onto the tonearm

Horizontal alignment and feet adjustment: Align the turntable via app or bubble level.

Horizontal alignment and feet adjustment: By turning the feet.

Balancing the tonearm: Remove needle cover and balance the tonearm.

Setting scale to zero: Set adjustment scale to zero.

Adjusting stylus force/antiscating: Set the stylus force and the antiscating to the same value.

Mounting the cover: Slide the hinges into the slots of the cover.

Mounting the cover: Slide the hinges into the recesses and fix the cover to the turntable.

Connection to amplifier: Connect cinch cable and ground cable to the MTT 990 as well as to the MM input of the amplifier.

Connection to power supply: Connect the MTT 990 to the power supply.

Switching on: Operate ON/OFF switch of the MTT 990.

Switching on amplifier: Select MM input on the amplifier (for original or MM systems).

Turning on motor: Select speed, eg. 33 1/3.

Enjoying your MTT 990: Unlock the tonearm, lift tonearm, move it towards the vinyl and lower it.

Mounting cartridge onto the headshell: Observe assembly instructions of the cartridge supplier!

Adjusting the tonearm height: Goal: Align the tonearm parallel to the platter.

Unlocking the tonearm base: Goal: Align the tonearm parallel to the platter.

Height adjustment of the tonearm base: Goal: Align the tonearm parallel to the platter.

Checking the tonearm alignment: Align the tonearm parallel to the platter (with tonearm lowered).

Locking the tonearm base: Goal: Align the tonearm parallel to the platter.

Adjusting the pick-up system: We recommend using a Schön template for the adjustment.

Height adjustment of tonearm lift: Goal: 8-12 mm distance between needle and platter with tonearm lift raised.
